Interior Painting

Preparation depends on the tier you choose. At minimum, every project includes cleaning surfaces, filling visible nail holes, caulking gaps, and professional masking. Our Better tier adds enhanced patching, sanding between coats, and detailed edge work. Our Best tier includes Festool HEPA vacuum sanding, pan-light inspection after the first coat, and a full prime coat on all surfaces before any color is applied.

Most interior projects take 2 to 5 days depending on the size of the area and the tier you select. A single room at the Good tier can often be completed in one day. A full-home project at the Best tier typically takes 5 to 7 days to allow for proper dry times, sanding between coats, and thorough inspection. We provide a detailed timeline in your estimate.

We exclusively use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore paints. We never cut corners with generic or discount brand paints and primers — you truly can tell the difference. Your estimator can recommend specific product lines based on the rooms being painted and the level of durability you need.

For our Better and Best tiers, our crew handles furniture moving — we carefully relocate items to the center of each room or to an adjacent space, cover everything with clean drop cloths, and put furniture back at the end of each workday. For our Good tier, we cover furniture and fixtures in place with drop cloths but ask that you move any large pieces away from the walls before we arrive.

Each level of sheen is designed for a different space. Newer technology in higher-end paints allows a matte finish to be both wipeable and scrubbable while still hiding imperfections — ideal for living rooms and bedrooms. Satin and semi-gloss are more washable but show some surface imperfections, making them best for bathrooms, kitchens, and trim. We make specific recommendations during your estimate based on each room's use.

Absolutely. Our Best tier includes a professional color consultation at no extra charge, and it's available as an add-on with our Better tier. We can show you color combinations on actual photos of your home using our visualization software before a single brush is dipped. If you choose the Good tier, you are welcome to add a color consultation for a modest fee.

We paint every interior surface including walls, ceilings, trim, baseboards, doors, and door frames. Kitchen cabinets, paneling, and even wallpaper removal are also available. Your estimate will clearly outline which surfaces are included.

We know your home is your castle. We cover all furniture and fixtures with clean drop cloths before work begins, and we protect hardwood floors and carpets. Our Better and Best tiers include full furniture moving so you do not have to lift a finger. If we need to sand, we seal off the room to prevent dust from traveling. At the end of each day, our crew cleans up the work area so you can use your home normally. We recommend having a couple of extra HVAC filters on hand.

We recommend removing wallpaper before painting for the best results. We strip it using professional tools, scrape off any residue, and wash the walls to ensure no glue remains. If the drywall is damaged, we repair it. We then apply an oil-based primer to seal any tears before your color topcoat. Any company that skips oil priming after wallpaper removal is setting the paint up to fail.

Our Good tier includes a 1-year basic warranty, our Better tier includes a 2-year comprehensive warranty, and our Best tier comes with our Signature Proactive 5-Year Warranty™. Our warranties cover workmanship defects — peeling, bubbling, cracking, or adhesion failure caused by our application. Normal wear and tear, damage from furniture, pets, or everyday home use, and latent substrate issues are not covered. We’re happy to schedule paid touch-up visits for a modest fee.
