Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Mission Painting website and services. Please read them carefully.

Effective Date: February 17, 2026

Last Updated: February 17, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the website or services of Mission Improvements, Inc., a Missouri corporation doing business as Mission Painting (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using our website, submitting an estimate request, booking an appointment, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Our Services

Mission Painting provides residential and light commercial painting services in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer three service tiers — Good, Better, and Best — each with defined levels of surface preparation, paint products, and finish quality.

All field work is performed by vetted, insured professional crews who are coordinated and quality-managed by our in-house Project Managers. Our service area includes Johnson County, KS; Jackson County, MO; Clay County, MO; and surrounding areas.

3. Online Estimate Tool

Our website features an online estimate tool that provides ballpark pricing based on the information you provide. Estimates generated through this tool are for informational purposes only and do not constitute binding proposals or contracts. Actual pricing will be determined during an in-home consultation with one of our estimators.

Information submitted through the estimate tool is stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may cancel or reschedule appointments using the links provided in your confirmation email. We request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or schedule changes.

4. Proposals and Project Terms

The binding agreement for each painting project is the signed proposal between you and Mission Improvements, Inc. d/b/a Mission Painting. Each proposal covers the specific scope of work, pricing, selected service tier, warranty terms, change order procedures, communication protocols, and payment terms.

In the event of any conflict between these website Terms and the terms of a signed proposal, the signed proposal shall govern.

5. Change Orders

Any changes to the agreed-upon scope of work require a written change order signed by both parties through our project management system. Promotional discounts or special pricing applied to the original proposal do not extend to change orders.

Paint colors and sheens must be confirmed in writing before work begins. Delays in color confirmation may result in scheduling delays of up to 30 days.

6. Paint Products

We use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore products, with specific product lines determined by your selected service tier. The specific brand used on your project is at Mission Painting’s sole discretion within the tier you select. Standard application includes two coats of paint; additional coats require a change order.

7. Payment Terms

No deposit is required to schedule your project. A materials deposit may apply for projects exceeding $10,000. Payment is due upon project completion and final walkthrough.

  • A payment reminder is sent 10 days after project completion
  • A lien notice may be filed 30 days after the invoice date for unpaid balances
  • A late fee of 2% per month applies to overdue balances

Accepted payment methods: cash, check, e-check, ACH, and credit/debit cards. A processing fee of 4.25% applies to credit and debit card payments. Online payments can be made at missionpaintingkc.com/pay-bill. Financing options are available.

8. Warranty

Each service tier includes a warranty on workmanship and materials:

  • Good Tier: 1-Year Basic Warranty
  • Better Tier: 2-Year Comprehensive Warranty
  • Best Tier: 5-Year Proactive Warranty™

Warranties cover peeling, blistering, chalking, and fading caused by defective workmanship or materials. Exclusions include: structural defects, moisture intrusion, acts of God, normal wear and tear, work performed by others, horizontal surfaces, mildew, and pre-existing conditions.

Full warranty details are available on our Warranty page and in your project proposal.

9. Quality Standards

All projects are completed following industry-best practices with tier-specific inspection protocols and documented surface assessments. Our Project Managers provide oversight on every job.

If you have a concern about the quality of work, please notify Mission Painting promptly. We will have the opportunity to inspect and correct any issues at no additional charge within the agreed-upon scope. Touch-ups or corrections performed under this provision are not grounds for discounts or price reductions.

10. Communication

Before your project is scheduled: Contact your estimator or our office at (913) 647-7466.

After your project is scheduled: Your assigned Project Manager (PM) is your primary point of contact via group text. Direct communication with field crews is not recommended, as your PM coordinates all work and is accountable for the outcome.

PM availability: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. For non-urgent matters after 6:00 PM, please use email.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Mission Improvements, Inc. d/b/a Mission Painting for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

In no event shall we be liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.

12. Dispute Resolution

We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and efficiently. If a disagreement arises, we ask that you follow this process:
