How Our 5-Year Proactive Warranty™ Works
Most warranties are reactive — you have to notice a problem, call the company, and hope they answer. Our Proactive Warranty™ means we come to you.
Project Completion
Your Project Manager conducts a pan-light inspection of every interior surface. You receive a care card explaining surface care, what to watch for, and when to consider repainting.
Annual Check-In
Each year for 5 years, we reach out to schedule an inspection. We catch small issues before they become big ones — keeping your home looking its best.
If Something Goes Wrong
Contact us by phone, email, or customer portal. PM assessment scheduled within 48 hours. If covered: repair scheduled within 1 week. If not covered: honest explanation with a repair estimate.

What’s Not Covered
We believe in transparency. Here's what falls outside our warranty so there are never any surprises.
Customer modifications
Changes you make to painted surfaces after our project is complete.
Structural water damage
Damage caused by roof leaks, plumbing problems, or other structural water issues.
Physical impact damage
Damage from furniture, equipment, or other physical contact with painted surfaces.
High-traffic wear
Normal wear in high-traffic areas is not covered on any tier. We do offer paid touch-up visits.
Chalking and fading
All paint chalks and fades over time. These are product characteristics rather than defects in our work, and they fall under the manufacturer's product warranty.
Extreme climate conditions
Failure to maintain a reasonable interior climate (extreme heat or humidity) that causes paint failure.
Hidden substrate conditions
Substrate conditions not visible or detectable at the time of service.
Normal wear and tear
Everyday use including scuffs, marks from furniture, pets, or daily life. We’re happy to schedule paid touch-up visits for a modest fee.
Spot Repair & Touch-Up Expectations
Here's what to expect from warranty touch-up work.
Spot repairs will be a reasonable match in color, gloss, and texture — but visible differences are normal and expected.
Existing finishes age differently than new touch-up materials due to UV exposure and ambient conditions.
Higher gloss finishes show spot repairs more visibly than flat or matte finishes.
Surfaces with natural break points (wall to corner, wall to trim) blend more effectively than open-wall repairs.

Maintenance Tips
Simple care to keep your paint looking great for years.
Cleaning Painted Surfaces
- Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and warm water
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrub pads
- For stubborn marks, try a melamine foam eraser on flat/matte finishes
- Rinse with clean water and pat dry
What to Watch For
- Peeling or bubbling, especially near windows and moisture sources
- Cracking along trim joints or at corners
- Fading on south- and west-facing walls
- Mildew growth in bathrooms or humid spaces
When to Consider Repainting
- Interior walls: typically 7–10 years
- Trim and doors: 5–7 years (higher wear areas sooner)
- Exterior siding: 7–10 years depending on exposure
- Decks and porches: 3–5 years

- We'll still send you an annual reminder with what to look for
- You'll always have priority scheduling as a past customer
- Your Project Manager remains your point of contact for future needs
- Previous project details are kept on file, including the exact products and colors used
